Welcome to Fun Photo.  I'm Dave Pickett the primary photographer and owner of Fun Photo.  Our goals at Fun Photo are to capture the emotion of an event with quality photos at reasonable prices and to have some fun while doing it. 

Over the past 10 years, digital photography has seen tremendous change.  After starting almost 11 years ago with my first point-and-shoot Sony Mavica with 1.6 megapixels, I'm now using both Nikon and Kodak professional digital SLR cameras with up to 13.5 megapixels and a variety of professional lenses.  This is the same equipment used at professional sporting events.   I'm a member of Professional Photographers of America and the Association of Professional Photographers of Illinois.  I have also instructed an adult education class in digital photography at Lincoln Land Community College. 

At Fun Photo, our portfolio of services includes high school senior portraits, family portraits, school portraits, aerial photos, dances, performing groups, product displays, class reunions, architecture, anniversaries, and executive headshots.  Even with all of this, my personal favorite has continued to be sports photography.  I really enjoy working with young athletes during league and team picture days.  We work hard to get some great photos and the kids get to have fun.  Many of our team fun shots have been priceless.  Our list of sports action photography includes football, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, track & field, volleyball, swimming, golf, cheerleading, poms, wrestling, bowling, marching band, rodeo & horse jumping.  You'll find our photos in the local newspaper, high school sports programs, yearbooks, brochures, advertisements and especially on the walls and desks of athletes, parents and grandparents.

I have two sons who had been active in sports and who I am very proud of.  I have always enjoyed viewing pictures of their sports accomplishments.  Viewing these pictures rekindles many great memories.  I hope you find images on this site that have a special meaning to you.
